Job Role: Fabricator
Location: Leicester, LE2
Salary: £13-£14 DOE
Type: Permanent
Shift: 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday (overtime available)
Overview: Part of a team providing support and assistance to skilled tradespeople.
Day to Day Responsibilities: -
MIG Welding
Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
Verifying dimensions and product specifications
Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
Making cutting lines on material
Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities: -
Ensuring that quality control standards are met
Maintaining a production schedule
Testing products for their functionality
Troubleshooting and stress-testing products to minimise problems or recalls
Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
Adhering to assembly safety standards
Undertaking tasks to assist directed by Line Manager
Work using own initiative within agreed roles
Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
Essential Abilities / Competencies of the Job Role: -
Requisite the knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to the trade
Willing to undertake CE accreditation
Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision-making and problem solving skills
Experience working in a similar business
Willing to learn and grow in the role
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations
Good attention to detail
Good level of fitness (heavy lifting)
Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment
