Technical Sales Executive (Field Based)
Circa £30k plus uncapped commission & car allowance
Our client a specialist supplier of advanced equipment and materials for science and research are looking for a Technical Sales Executive to join their business. You will be responsible for a specific portfolio and will be driven to seek new business as well as account manage existing clients.
You must have a proven track record in technical/scientific sales for a minimum of 2 years. Ideally with a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or an associated discipline. This opportunity could suit a recent graduate with the desire to use their knowledge within a sales environment.
In this role you will:
Exceed sales growth/profit
Manage sales leads to deliver a high conversion rate
Nurture and develop current relationships with existing customers and suppliers
Active marketing to potential clients through direct communication, face to face meetings, trade and pop-up exhibitions
Work with marketing to identify industry data and contact details from social media, published research and other web-based sources to generate new business
Regular feedback on suppliers and suggest new innovations for the Company product portfolio.
Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure a cross flow of information.
Stay up to date with current research projects and trends.
The ideal candidate will be confident and ambitious with the following skills:
Minimum of 2 years scientific/technical sales experience
Highly motivated and targeted
Good understanding of chemical formulae as well as metric and imperial units
Fantastic communication skills and able to build relationships quickly and effectively
Be inquisitive and want to keep up to date with latest research and product developments
Full UK driving license
Educated to degree level with a related discipline
Knowledge of Advanced Materials
