Senior Contract Manager
Salary Negotiable (plus package)
Our client is a leading Data Services provider associated with Gas utilities. In recognition of their strong brand and continued growth, we're recruiting for a Senior Contract Manager to join their vibrant team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the vendor management strategy, providing appropriate oversight of best practice vendor governance practices and activities in accordance to the internal frameworks and policies.
You'll have overall responsibility for ensuring effective contract management (negotiation, structuring and contract alterations), delivery of bought-in goods and services to agreed terms and also accountable for executing and managing service improvement plans to drive supplier performance, contract adherence and continual improvement.
We're looking for a candidate with demonstratable experience (5+ years) in managing third parties within formal governance framework, supplier relationship management, service performance management, (contract and technical). CIPS and IOSH accreditation is desirable
In this role you will:
Develop the overall vendor management strategy and roadmap with design and implementation of best practice
Provide leadership and overall direction to Contract Managers
Provide robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to ensure Health & Safety compliance/legislation.
Effective Contract Management and coach Contract Managers with their career development.
Set overall direction and provide leadership for commercial negotiations of both new and existing services
Act as the main point of contact for property queries relating to the building lease and landlord.
Provide commercial expertise as necessary to the Legal team to ensure efficient and satisfactory contract development and implementation
Provide commercial expertise to key stakeholders as required.
Ensure appropriate governance is in place to manage commercial relationships and ensure delivery of contractual services with vendors.
Ensure any supply risks are identified early and appropriate mitigation techniques are developed and deployed
Provide strategic guidance to support Contract Managers resolve any identified supplier performance or contractual non-compliance issues and drive improved performance.
Define and implement a framework for continuous review of commercial arrangements and provide recommendations/options for outperformance of business opex and investment budgets.
Deliver continuous process improvements in line with the overall procurement strategy and contribute to the delivery of innovation, process efficiency and an annual reduction in expenditure where possible.
