Job Title: Semi-skilled Fitter / Assembler
Location: Leicester, LE4
Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour DOE
Shift: 7am to 3pm
An opportunity for a Semi-skilled Fitter / Assembler has arisen for our client who are a manufacturer of industrial machinery, based in the heart of Leicester.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Servicing and repairs to machinery and new plant
Support the senior fitting team
Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, laws, working practices and health and safety
Site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness - assisting in maintaining site security
Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
Contribute to those of the team as a whole
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility

The Candidate
Experience working in the similar business
Have access to own tools to use alongside company tools
12 months experience in an engineering setting
Willing to learn and grow in the role
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team
Be friendly and approachable
Good attention to detail
Good level of fitness
Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment
Demonstrate good time management and project management skills
Full driving licence
