Job Title PPAP Engineer

Location Leicester

Salary £28,000 per annum (Permanent Position)

Working Hours Mon to Fri Day Shift

The Role

Our client is looking to employ a suitably experienced engineer whose main duties will include completing all of the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) responsibilities, i.e., ensuring that all of the PPAP Elements and associated documentation is completed and compile the documents for submission, these elements and documents can include some or all of the following:

Possible PPAP Elements

  • Design records

  • Engineering change documents

  • Customer engineering approval

  • Design FMEA

  • Process flow diagrams

  • Process FMEA

  • Control plan

  • MSA

  • Dimensional analysis

  • Material performance reviews

  • Initial process studies

  • Qualified laboratory documentation

  • ARR

  • Sample product

  • Master sample

  • Checking aids

  • Records of compliance

  • PSW

The Candidate

  • Must have previous experience completing PPAPs and therefore have an excellent understanding of some or all of the above listed PPAP elements

  • Capable of using all conventional engineering measuring and inspection equipment (Manual and Digital) including Micrometers and Verniers etc

  • Able to read and correctly interpret engineering drawings

  • Have a good understanding of engineering machining processes

  • Have a good understanding of Calibration

  • Experience using Microsoft and Data Logging Systems

  • Ability to work within time schedules, procedures and processes

  • Communicate at all levels including with customers

  • Good organisational, time management, numeracy and literacy skills
