The Role:

Located in Belfast, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for the day to day running and management of a busy payroll bureau which processes payrolls for both the UK and Ireland clientele, reporting into the COO. This role will play a key role in delivering the organisation's strategic plan.

  • Ensure the overall strategy is implemented and assist in the development of associated business plans to develop the business.

  • Track and report on staff performance, staff development and retention, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.

  • Work closely with the COO, to proactively look for ways to reduce costs and to improve performance.

    Understand the full suite of our Client's services in order to identify business opportunities

  • Work closely with the Team Managers and Quality Assurance team to ensure quality control throughout the business and to ensure service delivery consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations.

  • Promote & Lead a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

  • Create, manage and improve internal standard operating practices E.g. recommendations for changes and improvements to the customer journey to improve the client experience.

  • Supporting the Team Managers in maintaining the total client payroll list E.g. updating the list when the client moves to another team member, adding new clients and ensuring a payroll procedure is done.

  • Ensuring the internal FAQ resource is kept up to date.

  • Creating and maintaining each team members monthly payroll calendar.

    The Candidate:

    Essential:

  • Minimum 6+ years payroll management experience in an operational role.

  • At least 3 years experience managing a team.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business stakeholders including colleagues, directors, investors and auditors

  • Demonstrable overhead management and accountability for achieving KPI's.

  • Demonstrable leadership experience demonstrating an ability to build a shared commitment to organisational goals
