Pay : Starting rate of £17ph

The Role

We are currently looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a company based in Leicester. The role will involve fault finding and repairing a wide range of machinery including CNC machines. The working hours are double days shift pattern (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm). The company will also look at multi skilled maintenance engineers, electrically bias.

The Candidate

Mechanical qualifications are essential but if you are apprentice trained (or equivalent) this would also be advantageous. Previous experience of some CNC controls such as Fanuc would also help. Previous experience implementing PPM process would be advantageous.

Main Required Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds ( Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance)

  • City & Guilds 16th/ 17th Edition

  • Basic / Intermediate PLC knowledge on the following systems - Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Mitsubishi/Omron/Modicon/Fanuc

  • Can read Mechanical/Pneumatic Schematics to a competent level

  • Diagnose faults on Machine Tools - Fanuc / Siemens

  • Good understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems

  • Carry-out Repair/Replacement to Motors/Gearboxes/Bearings/Sprockets/Chains/Conveyor Systems/Ovens & Bespoke equipment.

  • CNC machine Tool experience/ Fault diagnosis on Servo systems / Encoders / Servo-Amplifiers/ Ball-screw repairs

  • Carry-out General Maintenance tasks
