Job Role: Material Scheduler/Planner
Location: Loughborough (LE14)
Salary: Negotiable (Dependant on experience)
Working hours: Mon - Thus (8:00am - 5pm), Fri (8:00am - 14:00pm)
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
The Role
A role has become available for a Material Scheduler/Planner at a well-established manufacturing business based in Loughborough (Leicestershire). The position will involve reading engineering drawings to create spreadsheets and generate bills of materials. This will then be fed through to the procurement team who will be responsible for the purchasing of materials.
The Candidate
You will have a background and proven experience gained from within a similar role - Essential
Knowledge of Materials and Stores management procedures - Essential
Complete production plans, schedule resourcing requirements, adjusting, updating and revising plans to meet production demands/resource changes.
Ability to positively contribute to strategies and continuous improvement programmes within a cross functional collaborative environment.
Advanced costing skills and Analytical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IT systems
Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues. Quickly and efficiently completes tasks.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with less definition, policy, and bureaucracy.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Extremely organised and self-motivated.
Commercially minded.
Effective time management.
