Job: Horizontal Borer
Location: Derby
Pay Rate: £16-17 per hour
The role:
A job for a Horizontal Borer has become available in Derby. The position will require you to set up and operate a horizontal boring machine, milling , drilling and boring one-off or small batch quantities of steel fabrications or castings to very close tolerances. This is a day position working 39 hours a week.
The Person:
Familiarity with a kearns and Richardson SH12 is a bonus but training will be given to familiarize you with the controls
Ability to read and interpret drawings is a must
Basic knowledge of trigonometry, whilst is not essential would be an advantage
Ability to calculate bolt hole circles etc is preferred but can be provided
This is a highly skilled position therefore significant recent experience of this type of work is essential. You will work under your own initiative formulating the best method to produce any given job correctly and within budget.
The Company
This business are a sub contract manufacturing company with both a precision engineering and fabrication shop. Usually handling small to medium components they are well established in the midlands.
