Salary: Up to £36k (Dependant on experience) plus company car

The Role
Due to any exciting HS2 project my client is currently recruiting for Health & Safety Advisor to promote a safety-first culture across the business. The key responsibility of this role is to assist in providing support and advice to the operational team on all aspects of health and safety management, developing health and safety documentation, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a safety-first culture.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work with the Client, Suppliers, and Regulators ensuring compliance with their health, safety, legal and contractual requirements.
Conduct audits and inspections in line with ISO 45001: 2018.
Engage with the workforce to drive continuous improvement.
To advise the business about safety objectives.
To prepare and carry out workplace inspections of all company operations and proactively identify where management practices can be improved.
To implement the Internal Audit Programme.
To provide written guidance, where necessary, to assist the Company in implementing solutions to enhance its QSE performance.
To liaise with production operatives, 3rd party auditors and clients during visits, inspections and investigations to ensure safety issues identified are dealt with and satisfactorily closed out.
Prepare QSE reports and statistical/performance data.
Carry out root cause analysis for occurrences and provide guidance for proposed corrective actions to all parties.
Monitor that audit recommendations are being implemented within agreed timescales.
Record audit findings within the required database system and ensure the details of any improvement actions are further recorded in the system.
To investigate reports of accidents, incidents and near misses, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls.
Ensure the QSE Reporting database is maintained with supporting documents from the resulting investigations.
Review Risk Assessments and Safety Method Statements in accordance with company management system procedures. Provide Health, Safety and Welfare advice to company personnel with the responsibility of carrying out risk assessments of their processes/activities.
