General Operative

Job role: Mechanical Fitter/Welder

Location: Wolverhampton (WV9)

Working hours: Day Shift (39 Hrs week)

Pay: £10.50-16 per hour

The Role

A job has become available for multiple general operatives at a reputable engineering business based in Wolverhampton. The position will involve fitting and welding bespoke HGV Vehicles.

The Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry.

  • Be experienced or a qualified Mechanical Fitter/Welder - Preferred.

  • Have proven experience working competently with Hydraulic fittings and applications, basic Pneumatic Circuitry and commercial/HGV fitting - Preferred.

  • The ability to weld would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Must have your own hand tools (Replaced for free if broken on site), electrical equipment will be provided.

The company is a specialist manufacturing company that supplies into the waste and other specialist industries. They are expanding and looking to add to their skilled team. The job role is quite unique and hence the company are happy to train the right candidate.
