Finance Manager

Optima Professional Services are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a business based in Burton-Upon-Trent. In this exciting and varied role, the Finance Manager will aim to strengthen and manage the accounts team.

This would be the ideal role for someone looking to progress their career by taking the step up from account assistant to Finance Manager with guidance from our Financial Director.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will have the follow duties:

  • Managing a small team including accounts assistants, ledger clerks and Credit Control.

  • Lead month-end reporting process through the collation and production of M.I.

  • Day-to-day accounts duties including processing payments, bank reconciliation, etc.

  • Cashflow projections

  • Confidential Invoicing Discounting - uploads and drawdowns

  • HMRC submissions

  • Processing sales invoices

  • Monthly G/L journals

  • Inter-company re-charges

  • VAT returns

  • Credit Control supervision

  • Payroll supervision

  • Ad Hoc reporting

The ideal candidate will have experience in an owner-managed business.

  • Sage 50 and skillful in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Accounts Management: 2 years (Preferred)

  • AAT qualified or QBE

Salary £25,000 -£28,000.

£25,000–£28,000 per annum

£17,000–£18,000 per annum

£8.00–£10.00 per hour
