Our client is involved in managing housing stock & the development of new housing in both the private & social housing sectors. They have ambitious plans to expand the scope of their services and are looking to build a further 1000 new homes in the near future. They have recently signed off an ambitious 5 year corporate plan to continue improving services and deliver more new housing in a geography where it is badly needed. With their ambitious plans they have recognised the need for the right infrastructure to support their development. This is a newly created role as a consequence of structural developments and internal promotion. As an organisation they believe in re-investing their profits for the benefit of their customers, clients and staff.
Reporting to the Managing Director this role will manage a team of c30 people through three direct reports. The main purpose of the role will be to provide financial leadership and manage the delivery of a full financial service to the organisation, including strategic and financial support to Committees, executive management and senior management teams.
Take the lead at a senior management level for all financial related activity, providing expertise and financial insight to the business (including but not limited to);
CCAB approved qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW) with extensive experience of leading high quality, customer focussed teams
Significant experience in a similar role preferably with a housing or landlord related business compliant with the HCA regulatory environment.
Well developed team management skills with experience of leading large teams and managing through 1st line managers.
Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships internally with other business areas and externally
Analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed level
Ability to interpret and implement technical accounting and taxation information.
Presentation skills (written and verbal) - Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
