Job Title: CNC Miller Setter/Operator
Shift:
18.00 to 06.00 Monday to Thursday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00
OR
35 Hour Shift 06.00 - 18.00 Friday - Sunday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00
Location: Leicester - LE3
Hourly Rate: £13.75 - £19.00 per hour (incl. shift allowance)
The Role:
Our client have vacancies within their CNC Milling Department and are currently recruiting for Setter/Operator - CNC Millers operating either a DMU 100 or Mazak Milling machines.
Duties include:
To produce precision machined components to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods.
Use and control of CNC programs.
Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
Understand all set up parameters and the effect they have on the process, e.g., datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling.
Responsible for setting and operating a Mazak Megaturn Vertical Turning Centre
Responsible for quality output
Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
Using measuring equipment such as micro meters, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.
To perform other such duties as required.
The candidate:
5 years' experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role
Apprentice trained - Preferred
Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook
Reliable, tolerant and determined
Open to new experiences, responsibility and accountability
Work amongst a team.
Attention to detail.
Working to deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
