Position: CNC Lathe Programmer Setter Operator
Location: Southam, Coventry
Working hours: Day shift
Hourly rate: Negotiable, overtime available
A job opportunity for a CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator has become available within a reputable subcontract precision CNC machine shop in the Coventry area. The working hours are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm
The position will involve Setting and Operating CNC Lathes, Programming and altering existing programmes, offsets and changing tips when necessary. The role will also involve quality checking the parts using all conventional engineering measuring tools.
Majority of work is 10 off - 200 off.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Turning machines with Fanuc control.
Must be able to use digital and non-digital measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, calipers, gauges etc.
Must be able to work directly from engineering drawings and follow written instructions and procedures.
Preferably have a background in the subcontract engineering industry.
The ability of changing inserts and alter offsets to meet drawing specifications and tolerances is essential. So is correct selection of tooling to make the part.
Further responsibilities will include bore jaws, clock fixtures etc.
