Business Development Manager - Solar PV
Field Based (Derbyshire)
Up to £45k Basic DOE plus Commission, Car, 33 Days Holiday
Our client is a well-established Utilities company that specialises in renewable energy and is part larger of a company that's built its success on the products and services they provide, resulting in a billion pound organisation. In recognition of their continued growth, we're recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their vibrant team.
You'll be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the commercial Solar PV market. Our client has a foundation to build on with a large portfolio of clients and pipeline to develop. We're looking for an experienced individual who can demonstrate their success in networking across the UK to identify commercial opportunities, deliver effective presentations, act as a business SME and manage the sales process to win new business whilst nurturing existing clients.
Strategic planning is a key part of this role as it'll be your responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business. This will require you to have a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services that can be provided, and of any competitors. Be experienced in business to business and be able to demonstrate a natural ability to influence key decision makers.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in Solar PV
In this role you will:
Prospect/Self generate new clients to win/increase business revenue
Identify opportunity within your market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers
Work with the team to develop proposals that echo the business vison and ethos
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Demonstrate a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
For this role you will need to:
Effective time management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships
Extremely organised and self-motivated
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
Possess a driving license
The role does involve national travel with the requirement for office based meetings once a week in the Derby office.
