Salary - Negotiable - Dependant on Experience

Optima Professional Services are recruiting for an experienced, proactive, highly self-motivated Bookkeeper to join a Leicester based innovative fast paced organisation.

The successful applicant must have experience in working within an accounting capacity. You'll have knowledge of financial processes and regulations, an understanding of financial and accounting terminology, and the ability to interpret financial statements.

You'll be commercially aware and have the ability to provide comprehensive, accurate reports to help ascertain the relevant information that will add value. You'll want to develop your skills to progress into a senior Finance Business role.

Key Requirements

  • Accounts payable/purchase ledger

  • Accounts receivable/sales ledger

  • Inputting invoices and credit notes

  • Credit control

  • Maintaining accurate cash banking records for a number of projects

  • Assist with reconciliation and monitoring of company credit cards

The Candidate

  • AAT Qualified or qualified by experience

  • Understanding of SAGE software

  • High numeracy and sound technical skills

  • Experienced in posting entries to financial ledgers

  • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature

  • Problem solving skills and initiative

  • Proficient user of Excel

  • Excellent communication skills


£30,000–£35,000 per annum

£7.83–£10.00 per hour
