Job Role: Bench Hand Joiner
Working Hours: (Days) Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:15, Friday 07:30-12:30
Pay: £14 per hour
A job has become available for a bench hand joiner at a reputable precision engineering business based in Rugby. In this role you will be involved with pattern making, pattern assembly work and production rig assembly. You will operate woodworking machinery like sanders and band saws.
The candidate must be able to utilise shop machining capacity to ensure pattern making efficiency
Experience of reading and understanding 2D and 3D drawings
Experience of working with hand tools and machine tools
Experience of producing products using wood, metals and resin
Foundry Craft Studies or Engineering qualification Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths, English and Science.
Maintenance of existing core and casting patterns, including repairs and modifications.
Produce new patterns arising from new product development.
Liaising with Technical and external departments to ensure accuracy and viability of pattern design.
Ensure best use of raw materials through planning efficient pattern layouts.
Take responsibility for ensuring that standards of their own performance and targets are achieved on a daily and weekly basis
Understand the impact of role/performance on internal and external customers and treat it as a priority
Carry out full inspection of own work on both new patterns and existing patterns to ensure adherence to quality standards
The client is a well-established company who design and manufacture specialist equipment for the foundry, aerospace and automotive industries. They are well known for outstanding quality in their products and due to their busy period fast approaching, they are looking for another bench hand joiner to join their expert team.
