Job Title: Design & Applications Engineer

Location: Leicester/Hybrid

Salary: Up to £36,000 p/annum (DOE)

The Role

A role has become available to design and develop products at a reputable company based in Leicester. The role will involve generating detailed CAD models and drawings for customer and manufacturing use; advising customers; creating concept proposals, including technical specification and costs; developing suitable test programmes, and documenting test results; as well as guiding and advising junior engineers.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

• Be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Be able to design and communicate the information presented on complex engineering drawings, and have a sound grasp of product design.
• Have 3D CAD knowledge (essential)
• Be able to demonstrate product design experience and understand the design process.
• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Have previous experience in liaising and interacting efficiently with customers in a professional manner.
• Have experience applying analytical approaches to the resolution of design solutions.
• Be familiar with and capable of utilising Microsoft programs.
