Contracts Manager – ICE/NEC/JCM: £0 (Competitive Salary)

Date 03/01/17
Location Derbyshire
Ref OUKP16252366
Job type Full Time

The Role

The role of Contracts Manager is one which will really add value to the successful candidate\’s working experience. The right candidate will also add significant value to the client who are looking to trust the future incumbent with the management of several projects. Managing multiple projects both on and off site, your contribution will be paramount in ensuring the successful completion of multiple projects lined up for the coming year.
The pay scale is flexible enough to comfortably offer in the region of £40,000 per year to the right applicant, depending on experience.

The Candidate

Capable of managing multiple projects under your own initiative, the client requests that you have a demonstrable background in rail or utilities projects (emphasis on rail). Having a background in steel works is ideal, however this doesn\’t have to be at managerial level (this would be preferable).
You will have knowledge of the usual contracts: ICE, NEC or JCM, be able to read technical drawings, have site surveying experience and then have the capacity to pass this information over to a designer in a comprehensible fashion.
If you have the aforementioned background, have managed man power on a day to day basis and possess a PTS or CSCS card, then consider yourself the ideal candidate. The same applies for training in SSSTS or SMSTS, which is another preference.

Although the requirements are very specific, applications from candidates who possess the majority of the above criteria will also be considered.

The Client

Our client offers design, consultation, manufacturing, installation and maintenance services for structural steel projects in rail, power, M&E and other sectors.
